DIGITAL PAINTING
Digital Painting, commonly incorporated into digital art or visual art, uses technological tools that simulate real brushstrokes. The numerous pieces of software created specifically for this purpose now have a huge library of brushes, strokes and techniques of all kinds: from tempera to oil, watercolour, airbrushing and so on. Unfortunately, digital painting still has many detractors: the most frequent accusation is that the paintings “are done by the computer”. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The computer makes work faster, greatly reduces physical fatigue, helps you spread colour uniformly across large surfaces in a few seconds, helps you hugely when you make a mistake, but absolutely cannot help you with creativity in the work, which resides exclusively in the mind, in the spirit, in feelings. Owning some software isn't enough to create an excellent and original digital work; it takes imagination and a certain creative inner path.
